The Inn at Ormsby Hill is a tastefully restored 1764 manor house, where the owners pride themselves in creating a dignified New England experience. Huge fireplaces dominate the common rooms downstairs and there are fireplaces in every bedroom. The living room shows rich red walls, antiques and comfortable, well-upholstered couches, while the gathering room features floor-to-ceiling bookcases and an oversized fireplace.
The gourmet breakfast comes with a hot entree and dessert and is served at large tables in the Conservatory, which has window-walls, wood-beamed ceilings and an intricately carved fireplace. Outside there’s a bird feeder but when we were there, a bear had pulled it down! Yes, this inn is definitely out in the country and it has wonderful views too!
This is a Select Registry establishment with a wonderful atmosphere, incredible breakfasts and big canopied beds. An ideal getaway place, in Manchester. The video shows several of the rooms, common rooms and dining room. Jacuzzis are fireplaces are in every room.
