No Bright Lights!

Avoiding Bright Lights in Video
One of the first things someone asks when booking a video is...."Are you going to use bright lights?" It is a loaded question. Without sufficient light, there cannot be video, but that doesn't mean to say that the light has to be bright and in your face. It certainly doesn't. If you look at the last part of this video, which includes "a first dance" you will see the way we do it. Our lights are high up, usually about 14-feet, and we only use 50-watt bulbs! Unless you look directly into the light, you scarcely know it is there, yet it provides a tasteful augmentation to the scene and ensures sufficient light for our camcorders. Incidentally, the newer camcorders are much better these days in being able to cope with low light.
