Outside Weddings

Outside weddings are great but keep an eye on the weather and allow for set up time.

We were on our way to an outside wedding and the forecast was a bit uncertain. What would we have done, I thought, if it had rained or the wedding co-ordinator had decided at the last minute to move the wedding indoors? Luckily it didn't rain, but we have been at other weddings where it did. Video Vermont's policy in this case is to protect the equipment against rain. With thousands of dollars of camera equipment exposed to the elements, it is our first concern.

Here is some advice...if the weather is threatening an outdoor wedding...make your decision whether to hold it inside well in advance. Two hours ahead of the scheduled start time is not unreasonable. Keep everyone concerned advised, including those service providers that may not have arrived on site. This gives us and anyone else time to set up properly.
